East Kirkby Aviation Heritage Centre, Lincolnshire

This is one of my favourite memories of my days with the BBC in Lincolnshire.

The BBC Antiques Roadshow came to the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre on Thursday August 2nd 2007. Thousands of people turned out to have their collectables identified and valued and my show came live from just outside the NAAFI. A mixture of guests included visitors and some of the personalities regularly seen on your TV screen and there was an opportunity for me to get up close and personal with "Just Jane" the resident Lancaster.

Eric Knowles asks for a piece of my chocolate cake! I don't think so, I don't care how famous you are.

Tim Wonnacot on a rare occassion not wearing that hat and if he leaves it there, I'll have it.

The forward gunners position in the Lancaster, "Just Jane". It's difficult to imagine the bravery of the men that found themselves in this position in the middle of a battle.

Pilot Bussey ready for take off after completing another very successful outside broadcast. I loved every minute of it and it's a reminder of the perks that come with boadcasting.
